WATERPROOF TYPE CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof type cable which can be realized with a relatively small diameter when a waterproofing means is provided to the cable wherein spacers are twisted into a layer-twisting around a center member. SOLUTION: Spacers 1 each having an opening part 1a formed in a spiral shape are twisted into a layer-twisting around a center member 3 and a thread- shaped or thin tape-shaped hold-down winding 2 is roughly wound on each of the spacers 1. A fall-out type water absorptive tape 4 is wound around the center member 3 with its fall-out surface facing toward the spacers 1 side. Another fall-out type water absorptive tape 4 is wound around the upper layer side of the layer twisting of the spacers 1 in such a manner that its fall-out surface faces toward the spacers 1 side and furthermore covering with a sheath 5 is provided thereon. The layer-twisting of the spacers 1 is twisted together so as to orient in the opposite direction to a spiral direction of the opening parts 1a.
