PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively lighten the shock at the time of lifting of a nozzle member, with compact constitution. SOLUTION: This surface mounter is so arranged that a nozzle member 20 is mounted freely of ascent and descent on a head unit 5 and is driven by an air cylinder 33, and the air cylinder 25 is provided with cushion mechanisms which decelerate he shifting speed of a piston 33 right before the ascent end or right before the decent end, respectively, at the time of ascent and descent of the piston 33. The cushion mechanism is composed of small-diameter parts 38a and 38b provided above and below the piston 33, seal members 39a and 39b arranged above and below those, inner frame parts 40a and 40b provided in the vicinity of top and bottom of pressure chambers 34 and 35, and sub ports 41a and 41b making each pressure chamber 34 and 35 and the ports 36 and 37 communicate with each other at the lower end face of the inner frame 40a and the upper end face of the lower inner frame 40b. |
