PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct the drying of a can quickly with heat-efficiency by carrying a metal can with a bottom in a high-frequency induction heating device as facing the opening thereof downward, and heating the can through an induction current. SOLUTION: A drying process is composed of a high-frequency induction heating device 10 and a magnet conveyer 40, and the heating device 10 is composed of a heating coil 11, a coil support body 12, an outer case 13, and a fixing portion 14. The heating coil 12 is composed of an coil element 11d which is made by plurally stacking into a hollow concentric elliptical shape and bending U-shaped, one pair of parallel coil portions 11a, and one pair of connection coil portions 11f. A battery can 1 washing treated and preliminarily dried is carried in a heating device 10 by the conveyer 40f as facing its opening portion 2 downward, a high-frequency AC is caused to flow, and an alternating magnetic field is generated vertically to a can carrying direction in the coil portions 11a, 11b. A voltage is induced in the battery can 1 by electromagnetic induction, the induction current is caused to flow along the whole length of the battery can 1 in the vertical direction to the alternating magnetic field, a large amount of joule heat is generated, and the heat is rapidly generated in the vicinity of the surface of the battery can 1 so as to conduct the drying. |
