PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase joining strength and enhance the charge/discharge cycle characteristic by joining an aluminum alloy by ultrasonic welding onto the inner surface of a sealing plate on which an aluminum layer is previously formed. SOLUTION: A positive electrode 4 formed in a pellet, comprising vanadium pentoxide, a conductive material and a binder is housed in a case 1 also serving as a positive terminal through a positive current collector 7. An aluminum layer is previously formed with an aluminum clad material on the inside of a sealing plate 2 also serving as a negative terminal, then a negative electrode 5 made of an aluminum alloy capable of absorbing/releasing lithium is joined by ultrasonic welding onto the inner surface of the sealing plate 2. The sealing plate 2 to which the negative electrode 5 is joined by ultrasonic welding is placed on the positive electrode 4 through a separator 6, then the case 1 and the sealing plate 2 are sealed. |
