PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which is capable of carrying out three-dimensional display without extending the constitution of the device neither using polarizing spectacles or the like. SOLUTION: A three-dimensional display device 11 alternately reads out picture data from a display memory 16 for right eye and a display memory 17 for left eye in every vertical scanning period; and when picture data is read out from the display memory 16 for right eye, a driving voltage which maximizes the contrast at the angle from the position of the right eye to the normal from a point determined as the reference of a liquid crystal display panel 12 is applied to the liquid crystal display panel 12. When picture data for left eye is displayed, a driving voltage which maximizes the contrast at the angle from the position of the left eye is applied to the liquid crystal display panel 12. An observer can simultaneously see the after image of one picture and the other picture to obtain three-dimensional picture display. |
