PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such an embedded luminaire with excellent mounting workability as being capable of always giving holding force to a ceiling and adapting various thickness of ceiling plates. SOLUTION: A luminaire has a bottomed cylindrical mainbody 1 provided with an outward flange 2 on the periphery of an opening at the lower end and a fixture 5 which has one end fixed to the lower part of the outer periphery of the mainbody 1 and the other end formed by an upward extending plate spring. The mainbody 1 is installed on a ceiling by holding the edge of the opening in the ceiling with the fixture 5 and the outward flange 2. In this case, a bent piece 5c bent to the mainbody 1 side on the midway of extending upward of the fixture 5 extends into an area on the mainbody 1 so that it can be pushed outward by a cam 8 provided on a plate 7.
