PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multi-screen display controller provided with an easy to see picture and improving operability, operation efficiency, etc., by separately processing a display area for an active picture and a display area for all of the other inactive pictures. SOLUTION: A display area on CRT is divided into first and second display areas to display a picture that a user truely desires to see in the first display area in an easily visible form. On the other hand, in the second display area, the other pictures are displayed to be comparatively small so as not to overlap with each other. In addition to this, the individual pictures are added with identification information or specially arranged according to a fixed regulation. As the picture by which the user executes operation, etc., is displayed in the first display area like this, the picture noticed by the user is displayed in an easily visible form to improve operability, operation efficiency, etc. On the other hand, as the other pictures are displayed in the second display area so as not to overlap with each other, the existence of a presently not-noticing picture is easily recognized.
