<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deposition of a carrier on a photosensitive drum by forming a coating resin layer containing a resin having functional groups containing active hydrogen and a compd. having plural isocyanate groups and effecting the hardening reaction of the resin and the compd. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic carrier consists of magnetic particles as the carrier core material, and the surface of the core material is coated with a resin layer. The resin coating layer contains a resin having functional groups containing active hydrogen and a compd. having two or more isocyanate groups, and the resin and the compd. are made to react to harden the layer. As for the carrier core material, magnetic metals such as iron, nickel and cobalt, or soft ferrite, iron oxide or mixture of these can be used. Among these, ferrite is preferable for the carrier core material, and especially, a ferrite containing elements selected from 1A to 6A groups in the periodical table is preferable.</p> |
