PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to measure torque without using a coil spring and a slip ring by providing a magnet holder, wherein a magnet is fixed to the outer surface part, at a torsion bar, and providing a magnetism detecting element at a part facing the magnet. SOLUTION: Magnet holders 1-1 and 1-2, wherein magnets 5-1 and 5-2 are fixed to the outer surface part, are tightly coupled to a torsion bar 3. Magnetism detecting elements 4-1 and 4-2 are arranged at parts facing the magnets 5-1 and 5-2 of a casing 2. When torsion, which is proportional to torque, is generated in the torsion bar 3, the dislocation corresponding to the amount of torsion angle is generated, and the change is also generating in the difference in outputs of the magnetism detecting elements 4-1 and 4-2. By utilizing the linear region, where the change in output differences is proportional to the torsion angle, the torque can be measured. In this way, the torque is detected without using a coil spring and a slip ring for torque balancing. Thus, the structure is simplified, and a compact configuration can be achieved. Furthermore, maintenance such as brush replacement is not required.
|
