PROCESSING MEMBER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD BY HEAT DEVELOPMENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing member which has improved handling quality and is used in a method for obtaining images by heat development. SOLUTION: The processing member for the image forming method of forming images on a heat developable photosensitive material by superposing the photosensitive material and the processing member is formed by providing the surface of a continuous web with a processing layer. The base thickness of the processing member is preferably 4 to 40μm and a base or base precursor is previously incorporated into the processing layer. The image is otherwise preferably formed on the photosensitive material by imparting damping water to the heat developable photosensitive material, then superposing the material on the processing member and heating the same.
