摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the influence that the electric field components generated by gate signal wirings, source signal wirings, etc., exert on holding capacitance and to improve the opening ratio of a display device in which color filters are commonly formed as the dielectric substances of capacitors forming the holding capacitance. SOLUTION: The gate signal wirings and source signal wirings 18 of lower layers and electrodes 3 for forming the holding capacitance are electrically insulated by interlayer insulating films having an extremely high film thickness and, therefore, the generation of floating capacitance and further the fluctuation of the holding capacitance are prevented. The electrodes 3 for the holding capacitance are formable to a large area across the upper parts of the gate signal wirings and source signal wirings 18 of the lower layers and, therefore, the large holding capacitance is obtd. As a result, the exact transmission of the data signals to the liquid crystal layer is possible. The high-contrast display and improvement in the display grade are made possible and, further, the high opening ratio is obtd.
