<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to suggest the understanding of an object displayed by the use of a graphic on a screen by the movement of a cursor in an I/O device utilizing a pointing device such as a mouse. SOLUTION: The device has an attribute value generating means 11 for generating an attribute value related to a graphic correspondingly to picture elements constituting the graphic. A cursor position control means 10 inputs the attribute value generated by the means 11 as one data for controlling a cursor position, and when the cursor is located on the displayed graphic, the moving variable of the cursor corresponding to a moving operation variable in each unit of a pointing means 1 is set up to a value found out as a function of an attribute value corresponding to a picture element on the cursor position and the operator can grasp the understanding of the object displayed by the graphic in accordance with the movement of the cursor.</p> |
