<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the slack in a tape and to enhance the accuracy of the magnetic tape counter by separating a pinch roller from the magnetic tape immediately after the moving direction of the magnetic tape is changed and counting, calculating and correcting a tape moving amt. due to the moment of inertia. SOLUTION: The figure shows such a case that a winding diameter of a supply reel 5 is larger than a winding diameter of a take-up reel 6, where the magnetic tape is moved in the direction of an arrow D in (a), and this direction of the magnetic tape has just changed to the direction of an arrow E in (b) and then the pinch roller 3 has just separated from the magnetic tape as shown in (c). Thus, the slack in the tape caused by the moment of inertia of the supply reel 5 and the take-up reel 6 of the magnetic tape after the moving direction of the magnetic tape is changed is absorbed by effecting a stop mode by which the pinch roller 3 is separated from the magnetic tape. Then, a tape moving amt. by the moment of inertia of the tape reels 5 and 6 in the stop mode of the pich roller 3 is counted as the number of control pulses, and lack of reproducing control pulses due to the slack is corrected accordingly.</p> |
