PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prefab joint for crosslinked polyethylene insulated power cable in which the working time can be shortened at the time of forming a prefab joint. SOLUTION: A stress cone is crimped on the surface of a cable insulator 5 of crosslinked polyethylene and an outer semiconductor layer 10 molded thereon at the site. An outer semiconductor layer 21 touching the stress cone is formed of a semiconductive heat shrinkage tube having smooth inner surface containing a rubber composition or a low molecular weight polyolefin having crystal melting point higher than that of crosslinked polyethylene composing the cable insulator 5.
