<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of a mold that is necessitated in varying the shape of the external connector of external equipment so as to provide an inexpensive, direct-coupling type rotary connector by enabling the same standardized housing including a support to be used simply by changing only a receiver to match the shape of the external connector, even if the external connector is different in shape. SOLUTION: A second housing 5 made of a synthetic resin is freely rotationally coupled to a first housing 1, a support wall 13 and a pair of struts 14 are formed integrally with the top board 6 of the second housing 5, and a connector terminal 12 for connection to a flexible cable 10 is exposed. A receiver 15 made of a synthetic resin is provided with an opening 15b corresponding in shape to an external connector 16 and with a pair of through holes 15a, and after the receiver 15 is inserted along the interior wall of the support wall 13, the upper end of the strut 14 is thermally caulked to secure the receiver 15 to the inside of the support wall 13 to surround the connector terminal 12, thus forming the shell of a direct connector using the support wall 13 and the receiver 15.</p> |
