PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a rare earth cylindrical magnet material in material yield and productivity by a method wherein a first magnet blank is loaded in a manufacturing device provided with a mandrel located inside a hole and pressed by a punch into a cup, and a second magnet blank is successively loaded and pressed by a punch, and this procedure is repeatedly carried out. SOLUTION: A manufacturing device is equipped with a die 4 provided with a through-hole, a punch 61, and a mandrel 62, a first rare earth magnet blank 1 is loaded in the through-hole from its one open end and pressed by the punch 61 into a cup 2. In succession, a second rare earth magnet blank is loaded into the through-hole and pressed by the punch 61, whereby the cup 2 of the first magnet blank 1 is turned into a cylinder, and the second rare earth magnet blank is formed into a cup 2. Furthermore, the following rare earth magnet blanks are successively loaded into the through-hole and repeatedly pressed by the punch 61, whereby cylinders 3 can be successively extruded from the other end of the die 4. |
