PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the effects of temp. and humidity at the time of exposure and to ensure stable performance. SOLUTION: At least one of an Ir compd. and a compd. having a nitrosyl ligand and at least one of Fe, Ru, Os and Re compds. each having at least three cyano ligands are not incorporated into the surface layer of each of silver halide particles up to 0.015μm depth from the surface but incorporated into at least a part of the region of 0.015-0.29μm depth from the surface. The silver chloride content of the silver halide particles is regulated to >=90mol%.
