PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a more stable cleaning by effectively eliminating the electrostatic charge of a part whose electrostatic change quantity is specially large among the electrostatic charge quantity of the surface of a photoreceptor which is passed through a transfer process and eliminating the specially high electrostatic charge of the surface of the photoreceptor just before a cleaning member. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the cleaning member 4 scraping residual toner 2 on the surface of the photorecptor 1 after the transfer process and an entrance seal 3 which is provided just before the cleaning member 1 and whose tip is made to come into press-contact with the surface of the photoreceptor 1. Then, the seal 3 is constituted of a sheet material whose thickness is 0.1-0.3mm and provided with such an electric characteristic that the surface resistivity is 10<3> -10<6>Ωand the volume resistivity is 10-10<4>Ω.cm. |
