PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image blurring and an abnormal image from occurring caused by a slippage by preventing the slippage from being generated between a photoreceptor and an intermediate transfer body in an image forming device. SOLUTION: When a negative electrostatic latent image is formed by irradiating the electrostatically charged photoreceptor 9 with light from a writing optical unit 8, this part of the photoreceptor 9 is developed as the toner images of respective colors by developing units 14-17. The toner image is imprinted on the intermediate transfer body 19, next. However, since the photoreceptor 9 is electrostatically charged as it is at this time, electric attracting force is generated between the photoreceptor 9 and the transfer body 19. When the attracting force becomes stronger, the slippage is generated between the photoreceptor 9 and the transfer body 19 and the image blurring is caused. Then, the image blurring is prevented from occurring by discharging the non- image area of the surface of the photoreceptor 9 by using a charge removing device 54 before the photoreceptor 9 is brought into contact with the transfer body 19, eliminating the attracting force and preventing the slippage from being generated. |
