PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate changing of direction by reducing the reaction when an assistant tries to change the direction manually while allowing correct drive and reverse speed control. SOLUTION: The speed controller for a motor vehicle having left and right wheels being driven independently through individual motors 2A, 2B comprises encoders 6A, 6B for detecting the rotational speed, means for designating a reference rotational speed, and sections 15A, 15B for controlling the rotational speed of wheel by controlling power supply to the motors 2A, 2B based on the reference rotational speed and an actual rotational speed being fed back. Speed control sections 15A, 15B controls power supply based on the reference speed and the means speed of left and right wheels determined at a mean speed detecting section 17 and fed back. |
