The floor (12) is laid over the adjustable supports (20) which are themselves fitted to a sub-floor (16) mounted on the chassis. The adjustable supports incorporate elastic elements to provide a sprung support. Each supports have a fixed outer cylindrical shell (20) inside which the support pads are fitted. The shell has an inner spiral track with transverse grips eg. ridges to locate the pad at the selected height. An elastomer pad serves as the sprung support.
