The motor housing has a housing lateral wall portion acting as a return flux path, fitted with rotor bearing discs (11,13) at each end, at least one of which is removable. The housing is axially deformable, so that its overall length is reduced in the event of a crash, for damping the impact. Pref. the removable rotor bearing disc (11) is designed to slide relative to the housing mantle in the event of a crash upon deformation of retaining elements (29) fitting into recesses (23) in the outside of the housing side wall.
