Throttle control for IC engine

The throttle control (1) operates on a control element (3) whose displacement provides data for the processor (4) to operate a drive system (5) for the throttle (8). The throttle control position is also monitored by a safety switch (9) which is opened when the throttle control is set to idling. This switch has a direct connection to the drive system to set the throttle to idling. The safety switch can also be operated when the brakes are applied, irrespective of the position of the throttle pedal, to provide a safe braking control. Additionally the switch can be used to set the fuel injection rate to a minimum.
