Water treatment aeration and settlement basins

Waste water biological treatment plant processes industrial, agricultural or municipal effluent and incorporates a water aeration basin and a sludge settlement basin with a sludge collector assembly. The novelty is that: (a) an overflow gap (10) extends over the entire width between both the aeration basin (1) and the sludge settlement basin (2), and the overflow zone is limited at both ends by a submerged screen (3) and a semi-submerged screen (4) separated by the gap (1); (b) the first submerged screen (3) has an upper overflow; (c) the second semi-submerged screen (4) leaves an underflow gap between the screen base (4) and basin floor (16).
