The pressed bale packing machine encases the bales completely in foil supplied in the form of a tube and cut into sections as part of the packing process. The packing machine (10) includes a supply holder (6) for the foil tube (8) and a cutting and welding device (30) to weld the foil tube and cut off the welded ends of the tube. The welding device is also able to eject the completed packed bale. The supply holder is arranged so that the cubic bale (1) can be fed into the foil tube through it. The front end of the tube can be set against the bale. A set length of tube can be pulled off of the supply holder.
