<p>A process for the manufacture of a lignocellulose-based product from a lignocellulosic material comprises treating the lignocellulosic material and a phenolic polysaccharide with an enzyme capable of catalyzing the oxidation of phenolic groups, in the presence of an oxidizing agent. Suitable phenolic polysaccharides include phenolic starches or phenolic cationic starches derived from starches obtained from sources such as potato, corn, waxy corn, wheat, rice, sorghum, waxy sorghum, sago, arrowroot or tapioca.</p> |
