Coin-operated entertainment machine e.g. fruit machine

A fruit machine has rotating discs showing the winning or losing combination of symbols behind viewing windows. After a win has been obtained the user can risk his win by entering one of several risk ladders (16,18) with individual LED display fields (26,27). These fields show either different values of wins, or different types of win, e.g. amounts of money, free games or points, changeable under computer control. The user can jump between two risk ladders, the second ladder using a flip-card carousel (29) with associated display fields and indicator light.
