Crankshaft for internal combustion engine

The crankshaft (1) has specially shaped webs with a threaded section (5) with an outer thread and with two recesses (4) on opposite sides. The timing control ring (8) has a full inner thread (9) and is positioned over the web, via the recesses, and is secured onto the thread. The threaded section (5) of the web is separated from the extended flanges (2) of the web by a tapering section (6) against which the ring is threaded. The outer rim (7) of the timing control ring is profiled with the timing marks eg. teeth.
