<p>An aromatic thioether acylation method is disclosed. In a preferred embodiment, the method comprises condensing acetic anhydride or acetyl chloride with thioanisole. According to said aromatic thioether acylation method, said thioether is reacted with an acylating agent selected from the group which consists of carboxylic acid halides and carboxylic acid anhydrides, in the presence of an effective amount of an acid zeolite.</p> |
