The apparatus for boring a web of a section is provided with a boring device (24) which is opposed perpendicular to the web of a clamped section (19) and bores it; and arm plates (11) for supporting the boring device (24). The boring apparatus further has a clamping mechanism (18), also attached to the arm plates (11), for clamping the section (19) from each side thereof along the direction substantially parallel to the rotational axis of the boring device (24).
