An apparatus for supplying dry air to cable-ducts, or similar via a supply tank, utilizing a network of air passages, valves, control means and two drying towers. The air flow in the apparatus can be controlled such that: alternately one tower supplies dry air to a supply tank whilst the other tower is being dried and then vice-versa, or both towers are dried by back-flushing dry air from the supply tank. A method for controlling the apparatus enables the types and periods of operation of the different modes to be controlled.
