<p>A process for producing a novel bactericide comprising a highly bactericidal fluid by electrolyzing raw water, which is reduced in the consumption of electric power and water, can be conducted with a small and simple apparatus, permits a long run, and can reduce the production cost; an apparatus used therefor; a bactericide produced thereby; and a method of sterilizing raw water. The production process comprises feeding raw water containing hydrochloric acid into an electrolytic cell devoid of a diaphragm between the anode and the cathode, electrolyzing the acid-containing water by passing an electric current between both the electrodes immersed in the water, and recovering the water thus electrolyzed.</p> |
