The record carrier is made with a reproducing layer (3), a non-magnetic layer (4), a recording layer (5), a second non-magnetic layer (6). An additional magnetic layer (7), preferably made of permalloy, is provided on the back of the second non-magnetic layer. The magnetic moments (91) produced in the recording layer create magnetic flux (93) while the reproducing layer has magnetic moments (92) in the same direction. The additional layer on the back influences the magnetic flux created in the recording layer. The flux extends further into the additional layer since the magnetic field is stronger than usual, increasing the coupling between the recording and the reproducing layers. |
