A binding for a snowboard is described, having a frame 1 which can be fixed on the snowboard and bears a dish shaped heel holder 9 arranged on a support 8 and preferably pivotable between a supporting position and a swung-down carrying position, and at least one strap 6 encompassing the shoe in the instep region. In order to improve entry and exit conditions, it is proposed that the frame 1 have a clamping lever 4 engaging on the strap 6 and mounted to pivot about a transverse axis 5 in the toe region and an automatically latching locking device, which can be released against spring force, for the clamping lever 4 in its downward-pivoted clamping position, and that the support 8 for the heel holder 9 be mounted in the frame 1 to rotate about a transverse axis 7 in the heel region and connected for drive purposes to the clamping lever 4 via a support attachment 10 which is extended beyond the bearing axis 7 of the support 8 relative to the clamping lever. <IMAGE> |
