<p>The device includes an auricular electrode (40), a ventricular electrode (50), and external heart electrodes (70,80), together with a pulse generator housing (60). The housing (60) includes means for delivering defibrillating or cardiac energy and a switching system for switching the electrode configuration, which determines between which electrode the defibrillation of cardiac energy will be applied. The switching system has in addition means to disconnect, when cardiac energy is to be supplied, the auricular electrode from the energy supply system, and if the electrode configuration determined by the switching system anticipates the switching of the auricular electrode, to substitute for this electrode, one at least of the external heart electrodes.</p> |
