A filter device, preferably for filtering gases such as air, comprises a first frame and at least one second frame, between which the edge section (4) of a filter medium is tightly fixed when the second frame is pressed against the first. The frames are both made from profiled material, the profile cross-section in the first frame having a shape defined by a bottom side (5) with a first side (6) at right angles to it, and a second side (7) sloping upwards at an angle ~a from the first side. The profile cross-section in the second frame has a shape defined by a top side (8) and a third side at right angles to it, and a fourth side (10) sloping inwards at an angle ~a from the third side. When the two frames are pressed together the bottom side in the first frame runs parallel to the top side in the second frame, the filter medium being tightly fixed in between these two sides. |
