The four stator windings (I-IV) are arranged in two inverter-parallel pairs between connection points (A-D) each wired to the midpoint of a chain of two transistors between the positive and negative supply lines. In an alternative embodiment each pair is replaced by two windings connected in series and wound in opposite directions. All windings are galvanically isolated except for the connections whereby they are wired either in parallel (as in the depicted embodiment) or in series.
