A cine projector has an optically compensation prism 3 rotating in the same direction as and in synchronism with the continuously fed film 6, and a rotating shutter 10 which interrupts the projection beam three times for each frame projected, the first time being when the optical axis 5 is aligned with a corner A, of the prism and the second and third times being when the axis passes through equidistant points A 2 and A 3 along a face 14. The prism and shutter are driven by gears on the axle 9 and the shaft of sprocket 8. The shutter comprises two radial arms 18 each terminating in a shutter blade 19 which moves in the annulus space between curved film guides which are coaxial with axle 9 and freely pivotally mounted.</p> |
