PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mass-produce an article having a microprotrusion on its surface with good productivity. SOLUTION: In the production of an article with a microprotrusion formed on its surface, the article surface is formed so that a high contact angle region exhibiting a relatively high contact angle value to a coating soln. for forming a protrusion exists around a low contact angle region exhibiting a relatively low contact angle value. The coating soln. is applied on the surface, and the protrusion is selectively formed only on the low contact angle region.
