PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit ink from oozing out as far as possible on a mutual opposite side when an image is recorded on both sides of recording paper in an ink jet recorder. SOLUTION: An ink jet recorder is constituted by providing a recording head wherein an image is recorded on one side or both sides of recording paper by discharging an ink drop from a nozzle. A mode selecting means 138 wherein a one side recording mode of recording the image on one side of recording paper or a both side recording mode of recording the image on both sides of recording paper is selected in an alternative way, and an ink discharge amount adjusting means 136 wherein in selection of the both side recording mode, the discharge amount of ink is decreased as compared with that in selection of the one side recording mode, are provided. |
