PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain adequate blade tip sealing by means of pressure energization on a non-rotary scroll member by supporting the non-rotary scroll member somewhat movably in the axial direction, while precisely holding the relational position in a space toward a rotary scroll member, in the case of a scroll type machine composed in a compressor. SOLUTION: On a support member supported on an outer shell and supporting a rotary scroll member rotatably, a non-rotary scroll member 36 is supported via a support-mounting means movably by a certain distance along the axial direction. Two fluid chamber 313, 314 for the purpose of pressure energizing a non-rotary scroll member in the direction of the rotary scroll member are provided and such liquid as having pressure higher than the suction pressure is guided in these fluid chambers. Any flowing fluid having an intermediate pressure between the suction pressure and the delivery pressure can be guided from a pocked of the flowing fluid on the way of its compression via a passage 322 inside of a non-rotary scroll member.
