PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a thermoplastic resin cylindrical body from deforming flat by bringing the outer face of a plug into contact with the inner face of the cylindrical body at a spot with which a pair of endless belts of a receiving device come into contact, and moving the pair of endless belts to receive the cylindrical body. SOLUTION: When manufacturing a cylindrical body, e.g., a longitudinal trough 6, first a raw material hard vinyl chloride resin composition is supplied to an extrusion machine and then is thermally kneaded and melted. Next, the molten composition is transported to a molding die 1 and is shaped into a cylindrical body and extruded continuously. Further, the shaped longitudinal trough 6 is cooled by a cooling device and received by a receiving device 4 to be cut to the specified size using a cutting device. In this case, the longitudinal trough 6 is received by a pair of endless belts 31 causing the holding face of the receiving device 4 to be rotated in the extrusion direction. In addition, the pipe wall of the longitudinal trough 4 is pressed by the endless belts 31 so that the trough 6 is flattened, but the trough 4 is prevented from deforming flat by supporting the pipe wall with the rotor of a plug. |
