PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection so that a gas-relief pin to relieve the gas is not brought into contact with a human body when the pin is not in use in crushing an empty can. SOLUTION: In an empty can crushing machine in which an empty can loading part is formed on a base, and an empty can pressing lever is pivotably fitted to one end of the base in a vertically movable manner, a gas relief pin 7 is projected on a face 6a on which an empty can on the empty can loading part 6 is pressed, a protective material 8 to cover the gas relief pin 7 is fitted to the base 1, a hole 8a is formed at the position opposite to the gas relief pin 7, and the protective material 8 is constantly energized upward by the spring force. |
