PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a read means against damage caused by carelessness of a worker by providing a holding part of the read means which reads the contents of a code showing a controlled variable supplied to a heating element. SOLUTION: A bar code 20 is fitted in the vicinity of a voltage-impressing terminal 7a or 7b on the outer peripheral face of a joint member 2 which is melt-stuck to pipe members 1, 1 by heat generation action of a coilform heating element provided on the inner peripheral face side of the joint member 2. Information such as material of the joint member, standard impression time and standard time of turning on electricity is recorded in the bar code 20. Information shown by the bar code 20 is read by a bar code wand (bar code reader device) 15 connected to a control power source part. When the control power source part is not used and after the control power source part starts operation, the bar code wand 15 is held in a bar code wandholding part 24 fitted to the tip part of a cable to prevent damage. |
