<p>The aq. coating compsn., contg. little solvent, contains: (I) a modified epoxide resin dispersion, comprising: (a) an epoxide resin, which is a condensation prod. of 50-95 wt.% epoxide cpd(s). with NOTLESS 2 epoxide gps./mol. with 5-50 wt.% aromatic polyol; (b) a dispersant, comprising a condensation prod. of an aliphatic polyol with a Mw of 200-20000 g/mol and an epoxide cpd. with NOTLESS 2 epoxide gps./mole.; (c) a diluent, comprising inert or functional ethylenically unsatd. monomer(s) undergoing free radical (co)polymerisation; and (d) water; and (II) an aq. hardener for (I), suitable for cure at or above room temp..
