PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyolefin-based microporous film good in impact strength. SOLUTION: This microporous film comprises 90-40wt.% polyolefin and 10-60wt.% double layer particles having 0.01-10μm average particle diameter, comprising elastomer particles as the inner cores having <=0 deg.C glass transition temperature and the outer surface of the elastomer particles covered with a plastomer having preferably >=50 deg.C glass transition temperature. The film has a netlike structure comprising communicating pores having <=7μm maximum pore diameter and 10-70wt.% void ratio and is molecularly oriented by drawing.
