PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a PZT-based piezoelectric ceramic excellent in piezoelectric properties and temperature characteristics, by replacing a part of a basic component with another metal and adding an oxide to a main component. SOLUTION: A part of Pb of a PZT-based piezoelectric ceramic is replaced with Ba or Sr and parts of Zr and Ti are replaced with Sn Ba or Sr to give a main component, to which Sb2 O3 and Nb2 O5 are added. When Ba or Sr is M<1> and Sn, Sb or Nb is M<2> , the main component is shown by the formula (Pb(1-x) M<1> x ) (Zra(1-1.5x) Ti(1-a)(1-1.5x) M<2> 1.5x ). (a) is within the range of 0.51-0.54 and (x) is within the range of 0.005-0.02. The amount of Sb2 O3 added to the main component is 30x to 60xwt.% and that of Nb2 O5 is 10x to 20xwt.%. The amount of MnO2 or MnCO3 added to the main component is 6.67x to 13.3xwt.%. |
