PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nourishing preparation, comprising a protein (a hydrolyzate), etc., having a lipid content within a prescribed range and a prescribed fatty acid pattern, composed of a prescribed amount of glutamine and converted into a liquid diet for enteral or peroral nutrition in a patient diminished in immunological function or a patient suffering from tumor. SOLUTION: This nourishing preparation comprises a protein (a hydrolyzate), a carbohydrate, a lipid, an inflatable food and water, has 20-30 energy % lipid content, a fatty acid pattern of (a) 30-70% medium-chain triglyceride(MCT) content, (b) (1/3.1) to (1/7) ratio of an ω-3 fatty acid to an ω-6 fatty acid, (c) (1/0.7) to (1/1.4) ratio of the ω-6 fatty acid to an ω-9 fatty acid and (d) (1/0.5) to (1/1/5) ratio of a monovalent unsaturated fatty acid to a polyvalent unsaturated fatty acid and contains protein ingredient composed of glutamine in an amount of 0.5-3.0g based on 100ml instantaneously usable solution. The fatty acid pattern is preferably regulated by mixing an MCT oil and fat, a repeseed oil, a borage oil, an oil of Oenothera tetraptera Cav. and/or a fish fat therewith. |
