PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate an abnormal sound when a clutch is fastened, by polishing the surface of a metering plate by a rotatively travelling polishing belt so as to have 0.5μm-1.5μm of grinding surface roughness Ra (degree of surface roughness) while having stable frictional characteristics. SOLUTION: This metering plate manufacturing device and method is equipped with a rotary jig mechanism 2 having a work retaining member 6 by which a work W can be retained and fixed to be attached/detached to/from the upper end thereof and a work rotation driving part by which the work retaining member 6 is rotated, and a work surface finishing mechanism 3 having a belt driving part 31 by which an endless polishing belt 29 is rotatively travelled, and a polishing belt pushing mechanism 34 by which the rotatively travelling polishing belt 29 is pushed to the surface of the work W retained and fixed by the work retaining member 6 of the rotary jig mechanism 2. |
