PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an emulsion-like or creamy emulsified composition and a dermal preparation for external use having excellent stability and safety, low irritation to the skin and excellent humectant property and use feeling without mixing any surfactant. SOLUTION: An emulsified composition is prepared by containing 1-20wt.%α- cyclodextrin, 0.1-20wt.% of a polyoxyethylene gloycol and 1-50wt.% of an oily component (e.g. silicone oil), and a derenal preparation for external use can be prepared by containing the emulsified composition. The resultant emulsified composition and the dermal preparation for external use are miscible with various prescription systems, and are excellent in emulsifying stability and enhance stability of the system. Furthermore, these are excellent in a stability for a passage of time, cause only low-irritation to the skin and to eyes and have no stickiness nor creakiness, and have wet and substantial use feeling. The system is stable in a wide pH range because of containing no ionic group in the molecules of the essential components. Furthermore, a coated film formed from the system after use exhibits water repellent property in spite of on O/W type emulsion, thus the objective preparation having excellent water resistance is obtained.
